What is ableism, racism, xenophobia, homophobia or trans phobia?

Ableism
It is the societal discrimination for disabled people. It was the belief of people that people who were not normal were possessed by demons or under some spell, were sinners, or their parents committed some crime that’s why they were born disabled. The changes are made in the life of these people after The Disability Movement. It is the global movement for all disable people to secure equal rights and equal opportunities.

Racism
When so-called superior people treated inferiors differently just because of their race or culture. It is the discrimination on the basis of skin colour, language or customs. Racism has influenced war and slavery.

Xenophobia
It is a fear or feeling of hatred toward the people of other countries, culture or strangers. It is the strangest phobia which can be seen in the people.

Homophobia
It is disliking against lesbian, gay and bisexual. Despite the awareness and public opinions made for them, they are still treated badly in the society. 75% of gay and lesbian people doesn’t report crime experienced by them.

Trans phobia

It is the feeling of hatred or having negative attitude toward transgender, transsexual, intersex (a person having male and female traits) or androgyne (a person having a gender which is simultaneously both feminine and masculine) people. Due to the awareness in the society, they are now able to have their own identity.

Life is all about living it now

Lately, I lost my cousin. He had a heart attack which took his life and left all of us in grief. It’s fifth death in past two years in my relatives who were really close. I can’t feel the pain his family is feeling but it’s beyond compare.

It is just the matter of fact that one day we’ll all be dust, we are nothing but just a piece of flesh who is trying to find some peace in the chaos of this world. Life is too short to live on regrets. So, it is better to do whatever you wanted to do right now because tomorrow never promise to be with you. Today is a “present”, so live it to the fullest.

Wanderlust

This amazing story is about a girl named Audrey Driscoll. After the death of her parents, Audrey along with her younger sister Annabelle lives with her grandfather Edward Driscoll in San Francisco. Just like her father she always dreams of travelling the world, but couldn't make that wish accomplishes due to all those responsibilities she has.

At the age of 26, an incident turned her mundane life into an exciting one. She made a daring decision to travel alone and to live her dreams. She travels to Chicago, New York then she boards for Europe where she meets James and Violet Hawthorne who turn out be her best friends for life. James introduces Charles Parker-Scott, a travel writer and explorer to Audrey, both shares same travel interest and bitter past. They both fall in love with each other.

There are a lot of twists and turns in this novel. This story set during the time of Second World War when Hitler was coming into power and imposing strange laws. In this novel, Danielle Steel mentioned the Nuremberg Law, under this law, no Jews were allowed to have intercourse with Aryan nor they can marry Aryans and it will lead them to guilty for death. Due to this reason, Karl Rosen a Jew, friend of Audrey, who married to Ursula or Ushi Rosen an Aryan found guilty. What will happen next, that factor will keep you awake the whole night. The wanderlust of Audrey and the passion of photography takes her to Cairo from London, where Charles is doing his job of a war correspondent.

I like the way Danielle Steel portrays Audrey. She is independent, responsible and brave enough to take her life’s decisions.

My all opinions about her will be positive. I really don’t care what had happened to her, all I want is that she has a good nature.

Yes, I will definitely help her. I actually helped a girl when I was in BA-2nd year, she was a student of French and she was Mexican. As she was a foreigner, so her clothing was also different from Indian girls. I was getting late for my class and I was going up the stairs to attend my class and she was coming down, behind her were four boys, all of a sudden she slipped from the stairs. Those boys instead of helping her, they were laughing at her and then they were passing absurd comments. I helped her from that situation and after that we became friends.

My father’s friend wanted to see both of his sons, my father called us and introduced me and my brother Yatharth to him. That uncle saw me and laughed at me and then he said to my father that why didn’t you give him something to eat. That incident hurt me straight to my heart and then I promised myself to be a healthy person.

Q. Your most memorable moment.
In the beginning, before becoming a champion of power-lifting, when I went for the state-trial, I saw there were many body-builders standing in the queue, as I was not fully prepared and watching other competitors only made me anxious and embarrassed both at the same time and in my mind I was thinking that I won’t be selected. Banaras- The City Where Soul Meets God

(Assignment)

Few days back I packed my bags and went to visit Banaras. This trip is special because first time in my life I went with my friends. It’s the whole new experience for me filled with fun, excitement and thrill.

Meet my Bagwati at the beginning of this journey. (I hope Farhan Akhtar won't mind😄)

I was staying in Naila’s cousin’s house. They are really kind and generous people. On our first day we went Big Bazaar with Naila’s bhabhi to have some fun with her two cute little kids.

Me and Naila with Bhabhi and her cutie Azhaan

Next day we all arrived Banaras Hindu University(BHU), sharp 8’O clock where everyone was waiting for the ABP News Channel’s exam to get started. Though it took too long for the paper to get started, we were enjoying the pleasant beauty of the Banaras Hindu University. The university was so enormous that people use auto for reaching their department, even university has its own bus service for students or its workers for reaching their respective destinations. Then I realised that Lucknow University is just a baby in front of BHU.

Breath-taking view of Banaras Hindu University.
After completing exam, our next destination was Assi Ghat. A movie named Ranjhana which was released in 2013 has few scenes shot from this Ghat.
A view of Assi Ghat
Next day, all of us went for godauliya market and from there we went to Dashashwamedh Ghat, it is main ghat of Banaras.
Preparation of Aarti at the Dashashwamedh Ghat at the time of dawn.

After that we took a boat-ride where we saw many other ghats.
Reewa Ghat

There was a place named Brij Rama Palace, it was a luxurious hotel situated on the Banks of river Ganga.
Brij Rama Palace, is one of the most oldest palace of India

I met a girl named Laali, who was selling flowers to venerators
Me with Laali

After that I saw the glimpse of aarti
Aarti performed by scholars.

While returning for home we were so exhausted and hungry, then we tasted chat of Banaras. It tasted quite different from the chat of Lucknow. I noticed that people from Banaras prefer little bit spicy food as compared to Lucknowites.
Chat of Banaras, it was tasty😋
All in all it was a fun trip and I got a chance to know little bit about Banaras, its ghats and its culture. Majority population are of Hindus here, but what I like most is no matter what religion of a person is, people are living here peacefully without any sort of problem and are welcoming others with their generous nature. I guess this is what makes Banaras a place where soul meets God.
